EcoCent Recycling Featured in Footprints Africa for Upcycling Plastics into Building Materials

On January 25, 2020, EcoCent Recycling Ltd. took a significant step toward promoting environmental sustainability by organizing a community plastic waste buyback event at KNUST – Ayigya in Kumasi, Ashanti Region. This initiative was part of our ongoing efforts to encourage responsible waste disposal and recycling practices within local communities.

The event brought together residents, students, and local businesses, who were invited to exchange their accumulated plastic waste for cash. This buyback not only provided an incentive for community members to participate in recycling but also helped to reduce the amount of plastic waste that would otherwise contribute to environmental pollution.

EcoCent Recycling Ltd. is committed to creating a cleaner and more sustainable environment by transforming waste into valuable resources. The success of the KNUST – Ayigya buyback event marks an important milestone in our mission to engage communities in the fight against plastic pollution.

We look forward to organizing more of these events across the region, fostering a culture of recycling and environmental stewardship.
